I spend around five hours in birmingham on bank holiday monday ... made lasagna, looked at photos of india, ate lasagna, went for a good walk along the canal and relaxed with Mr. someone special ... good lasagna!
Ok. I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I an mighty proud of the vegetable pie I made last night. Oh my golly gosh! Onion, mushroom, peas, carrots, and fake (veggie) chicken (from asda) in a creamy sauce with a puff pastry top! Ay-yay-yai!
Hello/Namaste readers and rabbit, I’m back from India and what a wonderful trip it was. India is never a holiday, its more of an experience, the family, the houses, the shopping, the people, the animals, the environment, the city, the town, the village, the air, the lifestyle, the food, the drink, the pollution, the smell (oh dear...never good), the skyline, the roads, the cars, the bikes, the textiles, the spices, the market, the tailors, the babies, the Gods, the culture, the toilets, the happiness, the list does continue... It was great! But its great to be back as well. I shall post more photos of india soon x
I thought the only thing I had to look forward to this weekend was X Factor starting again (Oh dear!) but I have managed to get a free ticket to V Festival, how bloody marvalous!!! I have to organise everything I need in an evening but all is good. My plan is to rough it and groan at the photographs later! 6pm cannot come quick enough!!! I want to to get down the shops for festival must - haves! Wellies, sleeping bag, denim short and vasaline/glitter!!! Hoorah!
This Autumn Hermes is celebrating its rich history of printed scarves by aiming at the younger market. "J'aime mon Carre' collection - 'I love my scarf' for you non frenchies...updates the House's classics with brighter colours and youthful motifs. A street style blog advertising campaign shows various different 'it' girls with illustrated instructions on how to know their scarves.
A french feeling Rabbit - rocking the rouge lips, striped knit and olive silk scarf - in my preferred style - knotted into a bow.
Oh. My. God. I NEED new glasses...I don't even know what i look like anymore! I hate wearing them as i feel like they steal my face from me, but as contact lenses are not an option, I must carry on my days as a four eyes until i can afford the super duper surgery to fix my defective peepers!
What do I go for? a block colour? Retro? Classic tortoishell...either way its a very expensive unknown identity on my face! All i want to do is be able to see!
AMAZING outerwear collection this Autumn, for both men and women. MILITARY through and through with khaki Melton riding jackets, navy wools with gold hardware and beautiful aviator sheepskins, I am currently designing AW11 sheepskins, leather and shearlings so this is just the inspiration I need!
I want this wonder so badly! Anyone have a spare three grand?!
This is an ongoing arguement with me and my friends - what is cool?
Cool is something sleek, simple and bold, that feels effortless.
Forward-thinking, breaks boundaries, confident. Cool is the idea you wish you thought of first.
The audacity to be different for reasons that don’t need to be articulated & unconsciously achieving it.
Cool is what stands up - what makes you take a notice and appreciate something beyond the norm. When you see a product or a design or creation and your mind just screams at the want of it - or the appreciation to understand it more fully - that is cool.
Cool is what makes you think twice.
A mindset — being informed, relaxed, and expressing it effortlessly.
The word 'cool' is just confidence in aesthetic form.
Cool is wonderful, clever and beautiful.
Cool is a person not being affected by other peoples opinions, or behaviour - staying cool in a critical situation. A cool person stick to what he/she thinks is right no matter what. A person who works hard to appear cool is the opposite.
The new ideal; it is moving confidently forward into a better future, assured that things to come will be better.
A person/place/thing pleasurable to observe as it appears to fulfill its nature effortlessly and with signature style
Cool is all that is authentic and artistic and innovative...cool is confidence without the arrogance... cool is connected to spirits that seek instead of stagnate...cool is impossible to define because it's in a constant state of evolution.
Cool has nothing to do with the external. There is no object, gadget, fashion, or built environment which is cool by and of itself. The term is only manifest when the external thing becomes utilised and inspired by a person.
Cool is something so attractive and inspiring that people want to appropriate for themselves and for their creations. It's a subjective concept.
Something that makes you feel like telling someone else about it.
Cool is only a momentary flash of brilliance...before it transforms to conventional.
Anything that is described by the advertising media as cool, isn't.
Cool is the emotion we feel at contemplating the few brave, who express their originality, being loyal to their true selves and exposing it by doing so.
Cool is cool, defining it any further may just defeat the purpose...
Am I thinking about winter coats? I saw the coat of my dreams the other day in the Whistles sale (Its August I know), and I didn't have the dollar to purchase it! Now its sold out FOREVER and I can't stop thinking about it! I feel weepy at the very thought of someone else wearing that beauty!!
What if I never find the coat of my dreams ready for the chilly months?!
