Sending love notes

I’ve started sending love notes to my somebody special courtesy of GF Smith colourplan sample book (thank you GF Smith) I cut off most off the page, leaving a little sample for my colleagues for reference sake. Then using my staedtler fine permanent maker I draw a few doodles combined with a few in your face love messages. I’m trying to send one a week, time in my lunch break permitting.
Any reason to step away from the computer and illustrate.

spring? where?

Yesterday was beautiful, driving around the city a warm feeling filled me, spring is here, summer is coming. Today its gloomy, its raining and there is no sign of the beautiful blue sky. Hmm...easter bank holiday weekend is coming, please mr.sunshine put your hat on and come out to play. The Bridlington beach requires sun!

sudden panic!

must remind myself to 'stay calm' about the future. Suddenly feeling overwhelmed, predicting the future, even though i know things are never as bad as you imagine them

Please please mind-calm down!

flying with wing

I think i want some....

I wishing I was confident enough to pull the gold ones off! But I may have to go with black or white (if I do get them)
Am I trying to hard to stay young by wanting these or are they just plain cool and may allow me to fly out of awkward situations?

rabbit and the carpenter's ROAD TRIP!

well its not going to be as outrageous as those american road trips but we plan to have fun! along with the three passengers, including alfie, our mascot, and the two humans, and when we reach our destination we shall be putting out party hats on as well as fancy dress costumes to celebrate rabbits younger siblings birthday!
(A huge thank you to rabbit and her family for inviting me and letting me stay and play)

Happy Birthday Bro!

Happy 19th birthday to my younger brother (for yesterday)

Two memories i have of my bro...
1) if there was one date he learnt even before knowing what it was, it was his birthday, march 11th, march 11th, march 11th.
2) the way he smelt as a baby after mum gave him a bath...infacare!

if you ever read this little bro, you are very important to me and the whole family, we love, be positive and "keep it real!"

(he also got his A level results yesterday (harsh i know) well-done on the D in chemistry (one mark of an C- oh man!) none of us could handle the sciences at college, i'm proud of you)

to gym or not to gym

Hmmm....tired! but i couldn't say no to dropping my brother to the train station this morning at 7.10 for a Wolverhampton university open day, can't say no to initiative! so popping into the gym seemed easy enough, its 10minutes from the train station, my gym kit was ready from my not so successful after work session on wednesday, only to find when i got there, it was closed. AW MAN indeed! why would the gym open at 6.30am mon-fri but not sat? hmm......lame!

Holi

If Diwali is the festival of lights then Holi is the festival for community! This year it was on Sunday 28th Feb. We went to the bonfire in our local park, into the fire we offered a variety of sacred ingredients, including three different coloured powders, incense sticks and a coconut etc... The smell of burning coconuts is something that we look forward to every year. Fire has never smelt so good! We always get a burnt coconut back from the fire, which we then share out amongst the family and eat. Sweet and warm coconut has never tasted so GOOD! We just smeared a bit of red powder (kum kum) on each others cheeks, no crazy colour fights broke out, we leave that to the young kids!
I would love to take you one year rabbit.
