I entered a styling competition on Tea for Joy, get the creative juices flowing!

Thought I would use this project as bit of a taster before engagement party planning gets into full swing.....so thank you TFJ.

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the president’s secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner. Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you.” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant,” to which Michelle responded, “No. If I had married him, he would now be the President.”

pancake day

Its definitely a year since we started this blog because I remember us blogging about pancakes.

Wow a whole year.

Pancake day was yesterday and I made savory pancakes, mushroom and spinach pancakes, which I tend to make on special occasion, on request. Sorry about the lame quality photos, it was a combination of evening lighting, average camera and shaking hands due to hunger. are you giving anything up for lent x

Valentines day continued...

We had a lovely day together, starting of with a drive down to London town, eating homemade cherry scones, reading google map and listening to Adele's new album. Time in london went too fast but we did what we set out to do....see a ring or two at Rust Jewellery. We are in love with a ring but it's not our yet.

We didn't get to have lunch at Vapiano, but thats for another trip to London, we ate at nosh and then headed home.

Once back in the shire we relaxed then got ready for the surprise dinner. As i was the one driving there, Mr.Someone Special had to tell me where we were going. We went to the National Space Centre for 'My Cosmic Valentine'. It was lovely! we were both in our best party outfits including a red rose on my wrist (in photo above) we enjoyed drinks in the rocket tower, a lesson in astrology and video fireworks in the space theatre and a three course meal...yum!

Thank you to my fella....you lovely handsome boy!
